Synkka is GS1 Finland’s product information service, where manufacturers and suppliers share standardised data about their products with retailers. Products are identified by their GTIN, the same identifier used in the product’s barcode. With a Magento Synkka integration, your store can fetch product data and images directly from Synkka instead of writing and photographing everything yourself.
The data comes from those who know the product best: its manufacturer or supplier.
Descriptions, dimensions and images no longer need to be added to the store by hand, one product at a time.
Once you know a new product’s GTIN, its basic data can be imported from Synkka without separate data gathering.
When a supplier updates product data in Synkka, the changes can be brought into the store on an agreed schedule.
